Lower Primary Coordinator’s Message

Dear IDC Families,

As we wave goodbye to another term I would like to extend my thanks and congratulations to members of our school community who have shown unparalleled strength and resilience through this remote-learning adventure.

Our dedicated teachers and integration aides have devoted themselves to the continual delivery of a high-quality curriculum, adapting and changing our teaching to best suit distance education. Such a successful term would not have been possible without the endless support and encouragement of parents, and the forever-smiling faces of our students each day. We realise home-learning puts a huge strain on families and we are immensely proud of the effort and perseverance of Mums, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, siblings and grandparents who have helped their little ones with their learning this term.

A couple of reminders as we head back to on-site learning for term four. Children will need to be in full summer uniform each day, including smart black shoes, and PE uniform/trainers are only to be worn on PE days. Children will need to bring two water bottles to school each day as well as a hat. Remember: No hat, no play!

We will be in touch throughout the term with information and updates regarding pick-up/drop-off procedures, canteen and playground guidelines, assemblies and school events. We will adapt and amend our procedures as we receive new information and suggestions from government agencies and health departments.

Wishing everyone a very safe and productive term four,

Kind Regards,
Kate Pryce
